Job Description: Senior Program Manager at WISE (Jan 2023)

This is a full-time fixed contract role suitable for someone with a minimum of eight years of relevant work experience in some or a combination of the following: program design and implementation, project management, community development, schools outreach, curriculum design, event management, and marketing and communications. An ideal candidate will have experience working with family offices, foundations, and corporates as well as strategic planning.

About the position
As our Senior Program Manager, you will report to the Founder / Interim Director at WISE and will be responsible for activities related to our:
- Programs and Activities
- Marketing and Communications
You will also work with designated WISE representatives such as our Board and Committee members, as well as other staff, project assistants, and volunteers on the team. The actual tasks and responsibilities will vary depending on the situation at any given time; however, a general guideline is the incumbent will split their time 80 – 20 among the two areas defined above. For Programs and Activities, you will work primarily to manage and oversee all programmatic efforts related to our teens (in particular local secondary schools) and young adult women pillars.
Your tasks can include and not be limited to:
- Overseeing the strategy and direction of our programmatic pillar in relation to WISE’s overarching organizational goals
- Overseeing the deployment of resources and managing budgets
- Designing and developing sports-related programs and training for women and girls in Hong Kong, including content, structure, format, resources, and workshop materials and presentations requiring audio, visual, and written output
- Overseeing the management of the programs and activities, ensuring high-quality output and on-time, in-budget delivery; engaging vendors or freelance help as required
- Researching and testing program ideas to continually adapt and improve the programs to deliver more value to participants
- Providing regular communications and updates to partners and stakeholders, including program proposals, activity rundowns, timelines and post-program reports and evaluation
- Leading and providing on-site briefings/debriefings, guidance, and support to volunteers, coaches, mentors, and facilitators
- Providing program updates and photos to share with our social media and communications consultant to add to the WISE website and social media
- Tracking and maintaining data and record for annual and regular reporting
- Recruiting, training, and supervising others as necessary such as volunteers, mentors, coaches, facilitators, and interns as needed
For Marketing and Communications, you will work to produce content that drives engagement
and support from different WISE stakeholder groups.
This can include but not be limited to:
- Developing a communication strategy and plan and executing it in line with the WISE vision, mission, and goals and targeted at our different stakeholder groups (program participants, donors/supporters/volunteers, and the general public)
- Developing effective communications and marketing activities to promote WISE and engage with a wider range of stakeholders and potential supporters
- Producing regular content for our social media and website to help supporters stay up-to-date on program activities
- Creating impactful marketing campaigns and resources to facilitate us reaching target stakeholders
- Producing content for our monthly email/newsletter for our email distribution
- As pertinent, update our marketing collateral
- Ideating and executing fun and engaging campaigns through social media to build up
WISE’s audience base and reach - Monitoring different social media channels’ performance, analyzing data obtained and
make recommendations for improvements - Develop effective social media ad-buying strategies by correctly identifying our
target audience and campaign goals - As pertinent, maintaining and updating content for the WISE website
Requirements:
- Track record in some or a combination of the following: program design and implementation, project management, community development, school outreach, curriculum design, event management, and marketing and communications.
- A senior experienced candidate will additionally have a proven track record of working with corporates, foundations, and family offices, as well as overseeing strategy and budgeting/resource allocation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with schools (teachers, administration, and students) and community organizations.

- Fluency in spoken and written Cantonese and English
- Must have the right to work in Hong Kong
