Women in Sports Empowered Hong Kong Limited (WISE) is committed to safeguarding the privacy of our supporters, partners and volunteers with respect to their personal data. We assure you that our policies and practices, and those adopted by our authorised agents in relation to the collection and use, retention, transfer, security and access of your personal data, are in compliance with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance under the laws of Hong Kong.
Collection and Use of Personal Data
WISE may collect personal data from interested parties from time to time and on voluntary basis to assist in our project delivery and provision of services for the betterment of women and girls in sports. Such personal data may include your name, address, telephone number, email address, date of birth, etc. Refusal to provide such information may render us incapable in arranging events or campaigns in relation to our vision and mission.
Any personal data collected from you will only be used for the specific purposes mentioned at the time of collection or for purposes directly related to those specific purposes, including but not limited to the following:
communicating with you in relation to the project details and activities of WISE;
conducting visitor, donor, volunteer and/or service surveys;
mailing of promotional materials and invitation to events organised by WISE, its partners and/or authorised agents;
compiling statistics for internal record purpose;
undertaking other activities that are in line with the mission of WISE.

Retention of Personal Data
All personal data collected by WISE will be secured with restricted access. WISE reserves the right to engage employees, volunteers or appoint agents, who are bound by strict confidentiality guidelines, to store and process any such data. Only designated employees, volunteers or authorised agents who are assigned to carry out legitimate activities or functions, including during remote work arrangements, will have access to such personal data. WISE HK will retain your personal data only for so long as necessary to fulfil the purpose of collection; and will erase such personal data within a reasonable time thereafter.
Transfer of Personal Data
WISE will keep all personal data collected strictly confidential. Your personal data will be used (and disclosed) to third parties, including but not limited to our partners, authorised agents, contractors and/or affiliates for the purposes for which they were collected and/or for purposes in relation to the project delivery and provision of services by WISE.
Access and Rectification
Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have the right to request access to, and to request correction of, your personal data held by WISE. If you would like exercise such rights, please contact WISE at wise@wisewomenhk.org.
Security
WISE, its employees, volunteers and/or authorised agents shall take all practicable steps to ensure your personal data is protected against unauthorised or accidental access, processing, erasure, loss or use. Any employees, volunteers and/or authorised agents who violate WISE’s Privacy Policy will be subject to disciplinary or legal actions.
Use of Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are automatically stored on an individual’s device or web browser when they access WISE’s website. WISE may use cookies to enhance an individual’s experience while using our services. Information collected in this regard may include your browsing date and time stamp on WISE’s website, activities or pages you have browsed, and the relevant duration.
