Angela Liew
I started playing badminton, swimming and cycling at a young age. My interests grew to other sports such as volleyball, tennis, sailing and golf so that I could try different things and make new friends along the way. I appreciate the lifelong benefits of sports in terms of social skills and character building, plus all the health benefits through different stages of my life.
Angela has held various senior executive roles in public-listed and private companies, from companies with 70 years of history to start-ups, across transportation, tourism, logistics and data technology sectors. She has also become a certified executive coach since 2017.
She has been keen to contribute back to society since the age of 12 through volunteer work or donation. In recent years she has been a volunteer mentor for secondary school students at her alma mater in Hong Kong, for university students from where she graduated in England, and for mid-career women through The Women's Foundation in Hong Kong. In 2021, she was a volunteer mentor for WISE's Mentoring Program for university students in Hong Kong. In 2022, she joined WISE as a board member.
Angela has lived and/or worked in different places including Hong Kong, the UK, the USA, the Philippines, China (Zhengzhou, Beijing, Shanghai), Malaysia, the UAE (Abu Dhabi). She enjoys working with people of different cultures and backgrounds.
